Deferred Open Week Men’s Grade 5 Doubles Final
John Ryan rolled back the years recently in the deferred AIB Open Week mens gr 5 doubles final, when he joined Darragh Kirby to overcome the challenge of Brian McGrath and Raimonds Zarinsh. The final was played during the Open Day at the club. John had been out of the game with injury for a quite a number of years and but has made a welcome return.
Birr Wilmer Open Tennis
Nenagh and Puckane players were very much to the fore at the recent Birr Wilmer Open Week. The tournament was a great success with a big entry from surrounding clubs and had the added attraction of the new artificial grass courts and new lighting system which by all accounts are top quality.
Pepes’s Junior Club Week
The Junior Club Championships are on at Nenagh LTC next week, running from from Mon 10th – Thurs 13th August. Confined to members only, there will be events for all ages. Details at the clubhouse and at tournamentsoftware.com. Entries will close at 5 pm on this Wednesday
Castlebar Open – Nenagh LTC Strongly Represented
Nenagh LTC was strongly represented in the recent Castle Bar Open – well done to all those players that made the long trip! Men’s Single Winner for 2015 was Frank O’Keeffe. Emma Mulqueen reached the ladies Singles Final and Mattie Ryan and Nick Flannery reached the Men’s Doubles Final.
